Lidia and Joseph Bastianich, with partner David Wagner, opened Lidia’s Pittsburgh in March 2001. Located in the historic Strip District, Lidia’s Pittsburgh is designed to help drive the area’s evolution from an aging warehouse district into a thriving entertainment zone that draws an estimated 6,000 to 8,000 people each weekend night to enjoy restaurants, shopping and nightlife. General Manager Michael Fitzurka brings 11 years experience, with a focus on training and development, to the position at Lidia's. Along with his operational background Michael is devoted to the Strip District. He is First Vice President of Neighbors in the Strip, the local business association, and is also Chairman of the Economic Development Committee. Designed by famed New York architect David Rockwell, Lidia’s Pittsburgh is modeled after Lidia’s New York and Kansas City restaurants, spectacular showplaces acclaimed nearly as much for their design as for Lidia’s signature northern Italian cuisine.

Lidia’s Pittsburgh features a daily tasting of three fresh, homemade pastas, along with such specialties as a roast veal shank with a rich sauce lightened with fresh orange and carrot juices, frico, an envelope of Montasio cheese with a variety of fillings, or grilled salmon served over braised lentils with a zesty chive-mustard sauce.

Lidia’s Pittsburgh is proud to offer two wine lists – one with 90 selections, all Italian, at $20 a bottle and second featuring premium vintages from across the Mediterranean region.

Lidia’s Pittsburgh will also offer dinner seating on a mezzanine level, overlooking the restaurant below. The mezzanine will be available for private events of up to 80 people.
